Check-in is conveniently located just to the right of the main entrance to the terminal building. Checked luggage is handed over to check-in personnel. At check-in, we also deal with any large items of luggage such as sports equipment, musical instruments and pets. You should check the airline website for information regarding these items, as instructions are airline-specific. Prams and pushchairs should be packed in a protective bag before they are taken to the cargo hold.
Packing instructions for your flight – which items can be taken on the plane, and which must be placed in the cargo hold?
The regulations regarding the amount and size of permitted luggage depend on the airline. Usually, you are allowed to take one bag, weighing 8–10 kilos, as hand luggage on the plane, and one personal item such as a handbag or a laptop. Your hand luggage must fit in the closable overhead locker above the seats in the cabin. Check the regulations regarding the allowed weight and dimensions of luggage with your airline. Before arriving at check-in, you can check the size of your hand luggage in the luggage gauge next to the main entrance to the terminal building.
There are strict safety regulations regarding air travel. Good excuses or explanations will not help if you are carrying prohibited items or substances. It is important to remember when packing at home that all liquids carried in hand luggage must be placed in a clear, resealable plastic bag with a maximum volume of one (1) litre. The maximum size of each container is 100 ml. All liquid containers above this size must be packed in a suitcase placed in the cargo hold. All sharp items such as scissors, knives, tools and metal knitting needles must also be placed in the cargo hold. Read the detailed packing instructions and restrictions on carrying liquids, along with instructions, on the Trafi website.
